SMT. Champaben Balchand Shah Mahila Mahavidyalaya stands as a beacon of women's education in Southern Maharashtra. Established on 15th June 1970, our college holds the proud distinction of being the first institution dedicated to women's higher education in this region.
Our mother institute, Shri Gujarati Seva Samaj, Sangli, envisioned an institution that would provide quality education to young women and empower them to become responsible, enlightened citizens. For over five decades, we have remained committed to this founding vision, adapting and evolving to meet the changing needs of society while staying true to our core values.
Our institution draws inspiration from Bharat Ratna Dhondo Keshav Karve, the visionary founder of SNDT Women's University.
